A Brief History of the Patient
Norma Cardova, a vibrant 51-year-old woman with a zest for life, faced a significant turning point in August 2014. After a period of struggling with diabetes, a seemingly minor callus on her foot began to spread, eventually leading to a life-altering decision: an amputation. This event brought an abrupt halt to her active lifestyle, a lifestyle defined by her love for swimming, camping, cooking, and grilling. Despite the initial shock and uncertainty, Norma refused to be defined by her loss. She approached her recovery with unwavering determination, fueled by a deep desire to reclaim her independence and joy. Her journey with PrimeCare custom prosthetics became a testament to her resilience, ultimately leading to a life filled with renewed purpose and the ability to fully embrace her passions once again.
Prosthetics Journey
Norma's journey with prosthetics began in 2015 when she sought help from PrimeCare. She eagerly embraced the prospect of regaining mobility, but her initial fittings proved challenging.
